Escape from the 21st century and relax on a ride through American railroading’s romantic past. The rivers and ranches of the Hill Country slip by your window as you enjoy the delights of an adventure on Central Texas’ very own vintage passenger train!

Our 1916 steam engine, Southern Pacific 786, is out of service for necessary repairs. In its place is our 1960 diesel-electric locomotive, the last operating one of its kind.

Choose from three classes of travel. Ride in a 1920s open-window Coach, a 1950s climate-controlled Excursion Coach, or a 1950s First Class Pullman Lounge car. Our friendly volunteer crewmembers will make sure your trip is safe, memorable and fun!

Pick the train that strikes your fancy – Hill Country Flyer, Bertram Flyer, or one of our Twilight Flyers – and make your reservation. Then listen for a hearty “all aboard” to signal the start of your journey back in time.
